Krylov Sergey Borisovich, Dr. Sci. (Engineering), Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences
Place of work, position: Head of the Laboratory of Reinforced Concrete Mechanics, Research Institute of Concrete and Reinforced Concrete named after A.A. Gvozdev, JSC Research Center of Construction
He is the author of 56 scientific and educational works.
He has carried out a number of major research works in the field of concrete creep, in the field of stability of reinforced concrete structures, in the field of numerical calculations of the stress-strain state of reinforced concrete structures, in the field of development of engineering methods for calculating the strength of complex structural elements. The most important among them are the works:
- The development of the "smoothly conjugate elements" method as a possible alternative to the finite element method, free from its main disadvantages.
- The development of the theory of creep in relation to the deformation of reinforced concrete, taking into account the presence of cracks, reinforcement and nonlinear work of the material.
- Development of the theory of stability of reinforced concrete structures, taking into account the creep of concrete, cracking and nonlinear operation of the material.
- An engineering method for calculating pipe-concrete structures, which compiled the corresponding section of the Joint venture "Steel-concrete structures. Design rules".
- Performed work on the survey, calculation and design of complex and unique engineering structures.
